Unaccompanied Refugee Minor Program (URM)

Shiloh House in partnership with Lutheran Family Services, the Office of Refugee Resettlement, and Human Services will work together to support these youth in all areas of their relocation to facilitate social, cultural, and economic integration.

Youth will be part of a residential setting while placing a large emphasis on independent living skills. There will be an ESL (English as a Second Language) focus embedded into all of the programming. Youth will also learn about American culture while teaching their peers about their own culture.

These youth often arrive after having experienced significant hardships and trauma, requiring special support and guidance as they adjust to their new community. While in our care, youth receive Clinical support, independent living, residential living, educational support, cultural competency, and culturally appropriate medical services.

The target population for this program is Males 15-18 years of age relocating to Colorado from all over the world. Youth who have mental health struggles and require more supervision than foster homes can provide.
