Shiloh Scoop
Meet Vicki & Molly!
In honor of Women’s History Month, we would like to shine a light on our Co-Founder Vicki Ramirez and Deputy C.E.O Molly Ramirez. Vicki, alongside her husband Steven, founded Shiloh House in 1985. Now, 39 years later, Vicki has the privilege of witnessing her daughter step into her shoes and continue her great work for this community.
Meet Shannon!
Meet Shannon! Shannon has been at Shiloh House for the last 22 years and is our Manager of Family Engagement and Internal Coordination.
“As a society, we often lament increases in crime, unmet mental health needs, and the changes that seem to make the world more unkind, and more hostile. Not one of us can cure the world of all its ills, but neither can we just sit on the sidelines and complain about what we don’t like. I believe each of us has a responsibility to do the small things we can do to make our communities a place where it’s possible to thrive."

Meet Kevin!
Meet Kevin! Kevin is our Chief Officer of Residential and Educational Services. Kevin has worked at Shiloh House for the past 25 years, playing several different roles within our agency while simultaneously achieving many academic accomplishments.
Why Shiloh?
“Our services are so important and necessary for our community as the mental health needs of our young people continue to grow. We provide an opportunity and platform for youth to experience success while working on improving their social emotional well being and addressing previous traumas”
Meet Katie!
May is Mental Health Awareness Month! Check out this spotlight on Katie, our Clinical Manager! She works directly with our youth by providing them therapy services.
"When a child really starts to trust the process of therapy, they begin to understand that just because it’s hard doesn’t mean it’s wrong. I think sometimes kids equate that “this feels bad, so it must be bad”. Pushing through that discomfort is where we really see those huge moments of growth.”
Meet Betsy!
In honor of April being Autism Awareness Month, check out this special Shiloh Spotlight.
Meet Betsy! Betsy is the Lead Special Education Teacher at Shiloh Academy, which consists of multiple educational programs including one specifically for youth with autism. “Everyday I am motivated to help them be successful in school but also throughout their whole life."
Why Shiloh?
"I love Shiloh because of their mission and what they stand for. We are helping youth and families so that we can grow together as a community. "
Meet Mary!
Meet Mary! Mary has worked at Shiloh House for over 5 years in our Beyond The Walls program. “Helping people realize that there is always hope is my mission. Things may seem that they are at their worst, but there is always hope. "
Why Shiloh?
“Shiloh just feels like one big family. Everyone is so welcoming and they embrace you. You can find a level of connection with everyone in this agency, even if they're not working in your building or department. They still feel like family.”
Meet Jason!
Meet Jason Brown, Area Director and Franchisee of Jersey Mike’s. Jason has been a member of our Advisory Board for 10 years. Jason truly has a heart for our community and demonstrates selfless service in everything he does.
Why Shiloh?
“I believe in the mission of Shiloh. I’ve come to know the leadership personally over the last 10 years and see their heart for the communities they serve. They’re genuine and passionate to make a difference in the lives of young people that so desperately need help.”
Meet Evan!
Meet Evan, our Events and Food Service Manager! Evan provides our youth one of their most basic needs everyday, food. A need that some of our youth were not guaranteed before they came to Shiloh House. When they see Evan coming, they know he is bringing them a home cooked meal. We call him Evan, but our youth have affectionately nicknamed him “the food man.”
Why Shiloh?
“When a kid feels comfortable and opens up to you, that is the shining moment. That is why we do what we do everyday.”
