Compensation:
In accordance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the expected salary for this Colorado position is $55,000 - $59,000 per year ($26.37 - $28.29 per hour). Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience and other job related factors permitted by law.

Responsibilities:
Filling and/or overseeing medications for all clients in all facilities on a weekly basis.
Overseeing and supporting with triage for injuries/sickness on an on-going basis.
Overseeing, organizing, scheduling and, when necessary, transporting clients to/from medical, vision and dental appointments as required by Volume 7 Regulations.
Ensuring that all medical follow-ups and doctor recommendations are completed, to include supporting with these appointments, if necessary.
Preparing all medical charts & rosters, monthly medical reports related to medications, injuries and medical follow up under the supervision of the Licensing Manager.
Directly supervises the agency’s medical support assistants. Supervisor acts as a role model/leader to their employee and acts as a back-up to their employee on an as needed basis while delegating job duties appropriately and providing supervision on an as needed basis.
Completing annual evaluations on the employees they supervise annually.
Interviewing, staff training and development of department personnel as directed by the Licensing Manager.
Formulating and delivering corrective and disciplinary actions for employees they supervise in conjunction with Human Resources as directed by the Licensing Manager, on an ongoing basis.
Providing oversight on all medication documentation (MAR’s), filing, updating forms, auditing client files, and ensuring compliance of medical needs throughout the agency on a regular basis.
Communicating scheduling and medical information to clinical and program staff on an ongoing basis.
Completing tasks as assigned by contract psychiatrist on an ongoing basis, and sitting in psychiatric appointments with clients.
Coordinating and scheduling psychiatric care for the agency and maintaining a positive, working relationship with the partnered psychiatric provider.
Providing oversight and coordinating tracking on medications from pharmacies on an ongoing basis.
Tracking, documenting and communicating all client medication errors.
Participates in the PQI process and tracks the medical team’s progress on completion of PQI goals.
Utilizes the behavior management techniques (which require a certain degree of balance and physical strength) with clients, which may include physical management (staff are trained to use Crisis Prevention Intervention technique) on an as needed basis.
Requirements:
Must have a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university as well as, special education certification and licensure through the Colorado Department of Education as well as completion of place test in content area.
Must have good organizational skills as well as some experience working with youth diagnosed with mental illness. Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and collaborate with all agency departments.
Must have a valid Colorado driver’s license or the ability to obtain one with a clean motor vehicle record.
Must be willing to pass FBI fingerprint & child abuse database background checks.
