Join our team by 4/30/2025 and a $1,000 hiring bonus will be awarded upon successful completion of six months of continuous full-time employment, either in the originally hired position or another full-time role within the organization.  

We are in search of a skilled individual to join our residential team and take on a leadership role. This position involves working closely with our clients to facilitate their reintegration into the community. 

Compensation:

In accordance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the expected salary range for this Colorado position is between $55,800 - $62,000 per year. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience and other job related factors permitted by law.

Schedule:

  • Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday: 12:00pm - 8:00pm 

  • Wednesday 9:00am - 5:00pm

Areas of Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):

  • The Employee will work in collaboration with partnering agencies for the High Acuity QRTP program Colorado Department of Human Services (CDHS).

  • The Employee will assist in the referral process for the program. 

  • The Employee will attend meetings such as weekly Program Coordinator meetings, weekly Utilization Review meetings, weekly scheduling meetings. weekly treatment teams, to represent both the high acuity program. 

DOCUMENTION

  • The Employee is responsible for auditing and ensuring completion of food count sheets, chore count sheets, bed checks, daily progress reports, weekly skills lists, medication administration records, facility tour forms, and inventory sheets on an on-going basis for the program or any other task assigned by their supervisor. 

  • The Employee is responsible for ensuring inspections, the activity calendar, emergency drills, van mileage and inspection, supply orders, budgeting are all completed on a monthly basis for the program or any other task assigned by their supervisor.

  • The employee writes daily progress notes/shift summaries, which includes but is not limited to documentation of behaviors, treatment progress, sleep disturbances and contacts, as well as, communicating and documenting all incidents and reportable issues on an on-going basis.

  • The employee is responsible for accurately maintaining food count sheets, clients clothing inventory/belongings, van mileage and vehicle maintenance sheets. Employee will train employees in the program in the completion and routing of these documents.

  • The employee completes filing and copying for the facility on an ongoing basis.

  • Employee completes weekly audit of all medication administration forms.

  • The employee will complete written preparation of monthly progress reports and/or coordinate and collect information for monthly reports on an as needed basis.

  • The employee helps to conduct disaster drills on a monthly basis or within 24 hours of a new client arriving in the facility and has one copy posted in the facility and an additional copy provided to the Licensing and Operations Director.

  • The employee is responsible for completing the Orientation and Shadowing checklists for new staff they are training on an as needed basis.

  • The employee attends, participates and demonstrates follow through and execution of PQI tasks on an ongoing basis.

STAFF SUPERVISION 

  • The employee will provide program leadership, guiding and supporting staff to ensure delivery of high-quality care.

  • The employee will be responsible for completing supervisions and annual evaluations on the employees they supervise annually.

  • The employee will be responsible for formulating and delivering corrective and disciplinary actions for employees they supervise as directed by the residential manager on an ongoing basis.

  • The employee is responsible for focusing on the professional growth and development of counselors under their supervision.

  • The employee will be responsible for coordinating Weekly Treatment Team meetings and corresponding documentation as directed by the Residential Manager on an ongoing basis.

MANAGING CLIENT ENVIRONMENT

  • The employee handles all emergencies by following on-call procedures, i.e., medication errors, medical emergencies and safety issues on an as needed basis.

  • The employee demonstrates professional interaction with parents, outside professionals, supervisors and co-workers and abides by the chain of command on an ongoing basis.

  • The employee coordinates and plans in conjunction with other team members, client's welcome/intake, birthdays and discharge an as needed basis.

  • The employee attends treatment team and required trainings on time, acting as an active participant on a weekly basis.

  • The employee will be responsible for helping the resident with supply shopping, food buying and other purchasing activities as designated by the residential manager.

  • Employee is responsible for ensuring the facilitation of their skills groups and completing group note documentation, submitted to the corresponding clinician.

  • The employee is responsible for the residence case management in conjunction with the campus manager.

  • The employee would help residence fulfill their skill development.

  • The employee will ensure that the residential program provides a safe, supportive, and effective environment for our youth.

INTERACTION WITH CHILDREN

  • The employee maintains professional boundaries with children while creating a nurturing and accepting environment on an ongoing basis.

  • The employee demonstrates the ability to identify behaviors, anticipate potential problems and meet the needs of individual children on an ongoing basis.

  • The employee communicates and interacts with clients respectfully, utilizing appropriate word choices and refraining from derogatory comments or name calling.

  • The employee utilizes the behavior management techniques (which require a certain degree of balance and physical strength) with clients, which may include physical management (staff are trained to use Crisis Prevention Intervention technique) on an as needed basis.

  • The employee is responsible for working with youth who have emotional and behavioral issues resulting from trauma and neglect, and who display verbal and physical aggression.

Requirements:

  • The Residential Program Coordinator must have a BA in a health and Human Services related field and/or a minimum of 3 years experience working in the child welfare arena.

  • Must be at least 23 years of age.

  • Must have a valid CO driver's license or have the ability to obtain one.

  • Must meet agency MVR criteria.

  • Internal Applicants must have been employed as a Lead Treatment Counselor with the organization for 1 year and/or have received a written recommendation by administrators.

  • Must be willing to pass FBI fingerprint & child abuse database background checks.

  • Experience in counseling, mental health, social services, psychology, behavioral health and human services as a counselor, therapist, mental health technician, mental health therapist, mental health counselor and/or substance abuse counselor is a plus!

  • Must have experience supervising others, from a trauma informed perspective.

  • Must have experience and a strong understanding of trauma informed care.

  • Must have a strong communication, time management, organizational and leadership skills.
