Compensation:

In accordance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the expected starting salary for this Colorado position is $59,291.62 per year. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience and other job related factors permitted by law.

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday, normal business hours

    **At times, accommodations may need to be made to meet the individual needs of a client, their family, staff members, and the program overall. This may indicate the need for working hours later in the evening. Some flexibility around scheduling may be required. However, Shiloh House leadership works diligently alongside clinicians to develop schedules that align with personal needs and self-care!

Responsibilities:

  • Share your knowledge and insights with a clinical team full of independent, eager, and creative clinicians that have a thirst for knowledge and growth!

  • Provide life changing and individualized direct clinical services including individual, family, multi-family, and group therapy for a blended caseload of youth with significant trauma, mental health, and behavioral health needs, which may include youth in need of offense specific treatment. Clinicians typically carry a caseload of 7-9 youth.

  • Most frequently, for this position, clinical services provided will be for youth placed in one of Shiloh House’s residential treatment programs and/or a day treatment program and will occur on site. However, from time-to-time clinicians are asked to support a youth and their family on an outpatient basis that may occur in home or in office.

  • Develop, implement, maintain, and utilize behavior management techniques with clients to ensure that their clinical needs are met. This may include detailed planning and instruction to other direct care staff members.

  • Collaborate with residential and education staff to foster a trauma informed and strengths based environment in school and milieu settings where all youth can thrive.

  • As needed, complete clinical documentation including, but not limited to: assessments, treatment planning, progress reports, discharge summaries, court reports, and notes in a timely manner and in accordance with the guidelines set forth by local and national licensing and accrediting bodies.

  • As needed, complete case management needs such as remaining in contact with families and members of multidisciplinary teams. This role will allow you to grow your experience in working with a variety of systems and individuals including probation officers, case workers, district liaisons, Guardian ad Litems, and more!

  • After an introductory period as well as robust training and shadowing, all Clinicians and Clinical Supervisors participate in a Clinical On Call rotation. Clinicians are typically only on call 2-3 times per quarter and are rarely asked to physically respond to facilities. Rather, Clinical On Call needs are addressed virtually with support from other professionals via Shiloh House’s layered on call system!

  • Must work well in a team environment.

  • Shiloh House provides services for some of Colorado’s most at-risk youth. As a result, willingness to work with highly acute youth while demonstrating empathy and resiliency is essential.

  • Travel in and around the Denver metro area may be required with use of a personal vehicle. Shiloh House DOES reimburse mileage!

  • Must have strong interpersonal and organizational skills.

  • Prior experience working in a high acuity environment and/or working with offense specific youth is preferred, however, Shiloh House remains excited to support new clinicians in the beginning stages of their careers.

  • Professionalism working with internal staff and external partners is a must.

Requirements:

  • Masters degree in Counseling or a related field from a CACREP accredited school. If the school is not CACREP accredited there must be proof of completion of the educational equivalency review at the time of interview.

  • Must be eligible for provisional license through DORA if not already licensed

  • Experience in individual, family, and group therapy preferred

  • Experience with offense specific population preferred

  • Requires skill in assessment, diagnosis, case conceptualization, and treatment planning

  • Must be willing to work in a team of professionals outside of the agency

  • Must have a valid CO driver’s license or the ability to obtain one with a clean motor vehicle record

  • Must be willing to pass FBI fingerprint & child abuse database background checks
