Join our Shiloh House team as a Family Support Professional! Shiloh House strives to achieve positive change within individuals, families and our community. Compensation:

In accordance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the expected salary for this Colorado position is $19.16-$23.95 per hour. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience and other job related factors permitted by law.

Schedule:

  • Flexible Working Hours

  • Schedule will require evening availability and one weekend day.

Location:

  • Office location is in Denver

  • This position is community based with travel throughout the Denver Metro Area

Areas of Responsibilities:

Supervised Visitation, Coaching, ERC, BTW and Life Skills:

  • The Family Support Professional provides education on appropriate and safe family relationships, holds the youth and family accountable to the treatment plan goals, and provides reinforcement of all informed supervision expectations as applicable.

  • The Family Support Professional provides supervised visitation services.

  • The Family Support Professional works in collaboration with the MDT team and the Shiloh House Clinician, and staff.

  • The Family Support Professional will provide up to 25 face to face service hours per week in any of the service areas as assigned by their supervisor.

  • The Family Support Professional will be trained in each of the service areas, and will follow all policies and procedures of each service area.

  • The employee must have a working and safe vehicle, and will use their personal vehicle to drive to each assigned home.

  • The Family Support Professional will work with clients and families in identifying needs, identifying strengths, setting goals, and creating plans to obtain those goals

  • The Family Support Professional supports positive community partnerships to ensure valuable resources for clients and their families

  • The Family Support Professional will work as needed with PSC clients in developing healthy boundaries, creating and implementing safety plans, and support therapeutic recommendations.

  • The Family Support Professional helps support and monitor supervised visitation.

  • The Family Support Professional will work closely with Shiloh programs and be cross trained to support community outreach efforts

  • The employee may be required to transport clients to and from visitations, activities, appointments, etc., on an ongoing basis.

  • The employee is responsible for keeping the Shiloh facility used for services presentable/housekeeping.

  • The employee demonstrates professional interaction with parents, outside professionals, supervisors, and co-workers and abides by the chain of command on an ongoing basis.

  • The employee attends treatment team and required trainings on time, acting as an active participant on a weekly basis.

  • The employee will help research and develop new tools and resources for families and clients and will actively share this information with other team members. The employee will show flexibility with their schedule and creativity with meeting the needs of the families, clients and counties while maintaining a positive and supportive attitude.

Documentation:

  • The employee writes progress notes to document each visitation, life skills appointment, after care session or FTM, and sends billing for each to relevant parties.

  • The employee will complete written preparation of monthly progress reports and/or coordinate and collect information for monthly reports on an as needed basis.

  • The employee documents all critical incidents on an incident report and sends this documentation to all relevant parties within 24 hours.

  • The employee will complete written discharge reports and/or coordinate and collect information for discharge reports on an as needed basis.

  • The employee is responsible for accurately maintaining mileage and vehicle maintenance sheets.

  • The employee attends, participates, and demonstrates follow through and execution of PQI tasks on an ongoing basis.

Interaction with Clients:

  • The employee maintains professional boundaries with clients while creating a nurturing and accepting environment on an ongoing basis.

  • The employee communicates and interacts with clients respectfully, utilizing appropriate word choices and refraining from derogatory comments or name calling.

  • The employee demonstrates the ability to identify behaviors, anticipate potential problems, and meet the needs of individuals as well as families on an ongoing basis.

  • The employee utilizes the behavior management techniques (which require a certain degree of balance and physical strength) with clients, which may include physical management (staff are trained to use Crisis Prevention Intervention technique) on an as needed basis.

  • The employee demonstrates the ability to teach and communicate the importance of maintaining routine, consistency, and structure on an ongoing basis.

  • The employee is responsible for working with youth who have emotional and behavioral issues resulting from trauma and neglect, and who display verbal and physical aggression.

  • The employee completes any other task(s) as assigned by supervisor(s).

Requirements:

  • Must have completed a BA degree in human services, psychology, social work, etc.

  • Must be at least 23 years of age

  • Must have a valid CO driver's license or the ability to obtain one

  • Must be willing & able to pass a criminal background check

  • Experience working with youth and families struggling with a variety of issues preferred.

  • Have a reliable source of transportation.
