Compensation: In accordance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the expected salary for this Colorado position is a rate of $23.37 per hour for a Housing Coach I and a rate of $24.00/hour for a Housing Coach II.

Location:

  • Base location will be our Families First Facility in Denver

Responsibilities Include:

  • This position will focus on working with youth and young adults who have obtained or will obtain HUD or State vouchers from partnering housing authorities.
  • Assist clients to identify needs, set goals, and establish a plan to become successfully independent in their housing journey.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date case records, documenting all interactions and following additional paperwork policies.
  • Provide clients with guidance and support through various application processes.
  • Be able to drive to and from participants.
  • Professional interaction and collaboration with youth, parents, stakeholders and community partners, landlords and management companies.
  • Possess familiarity with current community resources and consistently explore new ones, identifying suitable referral sources.

Extra Details:

  • This position will require to work some nights/weekends as needed per participants’ needs
  • A reliable vehicle is required in order to travel to and from participants’ locations.

Requirements:

  • Must have at least 2 years of college in a human services related field or 2 years of education with 2 years experience in a human services related field or education field.
  • Applicants should demonstrate adaptability in their schedules to meet clients’ availability and program expectations, including some evenings and minimum one Saturday a month.
  • This position requires travel to participant locations, so a reliable vehicle is required.
  • Must be able to pass a criminal background check and meet agency’s MVR criteria
  • Must hold a valid Colorado driver’s license
